The fastest way to Folkemødet

In 2026, Folkemødet will be held on Bornholm from June 11th–13th. We fly directly from Copenhagen, Aalborg, and Billund, in less than an hour.

Every year, close to 13,000 passengers choose the fastest way to Folkemødet with DAT. We are proud main sponsors and the only local airline.

Folkemødet is Denmark’s nationwide festival of democracy. Here, citizens and decision-makers meet in beautiful surroundings to engage in dialogue, conversation, participation, and community. Folkemødet is created in collaboration with political parties, grassroots organizations, and various associations and companies. Join exciting debates, presentations, cultural events, speeches, workshops, and much more. Each year, around 60,000 people flock to the northern tip of Bornholm to take part in Folkemødet in Allinge.

Folkemødet is open to everyone, and attendance is free for guests.

Folkemødet Flex

Like Full Flex, but cheaper! Get full flexibility for your flights during Folkemødet.

DAT is offering a special type of ticket for passengers flying during Folkemødet. We call it Folkemødet Flex. It’s only valid for flights during Folkemødet.

This ticket canot be exchanged for a regular Full Flex-ticket.

Folkemødet Flex terms & conditions:

  •  Only valid for flights 10th–14th June 2026.
  • Free re-booking and name change.
  • 1 x 23kg checked-in bagage and 1 x 8kg hand luggage included. 
  • In the event of cancellation, only taxes and fees will be refunded, minus an administration fee of DKK 45 per segment.
  • This ticket can’t be exchanged for a regular full-flex ticket.

Practical information

When you arrive at Bornholm Airport, the island’s bus company, BAT, will take you to Allinge or your accommodation. All bus timetables and routes can be found on Rejseplanen.dk. Bus tickets can also be purchased on Rejseplanen.dk. On board the buses, it is only possible to buy single tickets with cash. Multi-ride tickets can be purchased at one of the many sales points on Bornholm.

Please note that Allinge is closed to through traffic.
